How Did SIDEGUARD™ Originate?
كيف نشأت SIDEGUARD™ ؟
يعود مفهوم SIDEGUARD إلى الستينيات (تسعة عشر ستينيات القرن العشرين)!
كان هناك جهاز، أعتقد أنه يسمى "ضوء ركن السيارة المساعد"، والذي يمكن استخدامه عندما تركن سيارتك على جانب الطريق في الليل.
إن ترك الأضواء الجانبية مضاءة طوال الليل قد يؤدي إلى استنزاف بطارية السيارة في تلك الأيام، لذلك يستخدم الناس هذه الأضواء في كثير من الأحيان بدلاً من ذلك.
كانت تتألف من مصباح صغير بجهد ١٢ فولت، بعدسة حمراء في الخلف وعدسة شفافة في الأمام. كان مزودًا بمشبك معدني، يُثبت على الحافة العلوية لنافذة السائق، ثم تُرفع النافذة، لتثبيتها في مكانها.
ثم قمت بتوصيل سلك الطاقة بمقبس ولاعة السجائر (تذكر أننا نتحدث الآن عن الستينيات) وأضاء الضوء.
The idea was to make the offside of your parked car stand out more at night.
This device seemed to disappear as cars became more modern, but the strange thing is, a lot of people still don't feel they can leave their sidelights on overnight, so tend to leave their cars unlit.
SIDEGUARD is based on this concept, but using powerful wide angle reflectors, on a bright neon yellow flexible wing instead of a powered light.
As it doesn't use any of the car's electricity, people now have something they can safely start to use again, offering a considerable safety benefit over not displaying any lights at all.
SIDEGUARD, helping to protect the offside of your parked car, including the wing/door mirror. Even if the door mirror is retracted, try hitting it with a bus and see what happens!
